To make this recipe, you need 200gr of sugar, 3 eggs, 125gr of butter, 200gr of flour, a package of baking powder, a package of vanilla sugar and 50gr of dark chocolate. This cake can be decorated with dried fruit.

Preheat oven to 180°C. Separate egg whites from yolks. In a bowl, work the egg yolks with sugar and melted butter until obtaining a whitish paste. Stir slowly the flour with the yeast. Pour a third of the batter into another bowl. In that second bowl, add the previously melted chocolate in a double boiler while vanilla sugar goes in the first bowl. Then beat the egg whites until stiff, split evenly between the two bowls before mixing gently. Butter a loaf pan, then pour half of the white paste, add the chocolate batter before covering with remaining vanilla mixture. Put in oven for about 35 minutes.
