The Marquisette is a wine and citrus-based cocktail originating in Ardèche, but which is also very popular in the departments of Drome and Gard. It’s a must-drink of family celebrations and village festivals. Besides, each family or village may have its own recipe. However, the basic ingredient of this cocktail remains the dry white wine. In rare cases, sparkling wine or champagne can replace the dry white wine.
