If you are a wine lover, this cherry wine will make you live a brand new experience. This delicious French aperitif will delight your guests and bring a taste of summer to your day. Here’s an easy-to-follow recipe for homemade cherry wine. You need to try it at least once, you won’t regret it!
This cherry wine is made with:
– 500 g of very ripe cherries
– 75 cl of good red or rose wine
– 250 g of sugar
– 25 cl of 40° brandy
Choose your wine in Delices and Gourmandises cellar. Your favorite online store offers a wide range of quality red and rosé wines; they come from major French wineries. It is also recommended to use fresh fruit and if possible from organic culture.
Clean your cherries and gently pull their tails. Wipe them carefully one by one. Pour the wine you have selected in Delices and Gourmandises catalog in a large jar and put the fruits in it. Close tightly and set aside for at least three weeks to marinate. Make sure to shake the jar every day.
After 21 days, take the cherries out and use a thin and clean cloth to press them. Fully extract the juice and pour it into the wine. Add the brandy and sugar (or cane sugar syrup) to your liking. If you want your wine to have a stronger taste, add the cherries kernels. Put your wine in a cool place during the night and in the sun during the day for three weeks. After this period, filter the drink and do the bottling. Keep your wine in a cool place away from light.2016-10-12
