A classic for any breakfast or afternoon snacks, strawberry jam is the favorite of both kids and adults to accompany their sandwiches and delicacies for generations. Delices and Gourmandises presents a simple but tasty recipe to turn strawberry into a tasty jam.
To prepare this jam, Delices and Gourmandises used two kilos of strawberries for 200g of synthetic sweetener (special cooking). You do not need time to focus on the look of your fruits when buying them! Whether they look nice or not, they will anyway be crushed. Just make sure that they are fresh. To begin with, wash and dry your strawberries before roughly cutting them and putting them in a bowl. Place a layer of fruit and a sweetener layer for a proper maceration.
Once the sweetener has melted, pour into a saucepan and start to boil while stirring regularly for 10 minutes at high heat for optimum cooking of the strawberries. Then let the mixture stand between 12 to 24 hours and cook again. Wait for 10 minutes after boiling before stopping the heat. Do not forget to remove the foam that will appear on the surface as the mixture is cooking. Now you just have to pour the jam into a jar and let it cool to room temperature. It’s ready!
If you’re lacking time to prepare your own jam or if strawberry season is sadly over, you will be happy to know that it’s still possible to enjoy an exquisite strawberry jam ordered from Delices and Gourmandises, where it’s available throughout the year.
Sugar-free and made with strawberries selected for their quality, jam produced by Delices and Gourmandises has natural and powerful fruity taste. In addition, it has very low caloric value and will be ideal during a diet.2016-03-28
